🌊 1st Saturday Ocean Plastic Upcycling Workday – March 2nd! 🌊
Join us for our next 1st Saturday Ocean Plastic Upcycling Workday at our plastic diversion and upcycling facility in Kaumakani this Saturday, March 2nd, from 10 AM – 2 PM!
Our first event was a huge success – volunteers helped create a beautiful sheet of upcycled ocean plastic and sorted through over 1,000 lbs of marine debris! Based on their feedback, we’re shifting the time to 10 AM – 2 PM and inviting everyone to bring a small dish for a potluck lunch.
✅ What You’ll Be Doing:🔹 Sorting, shredding, and washing ocean plastic🔹 Helping to create upcycled products🔹 Learning how to repurpose marine debris into valuable materials
💧 We’ll provide water, refreshments, and snacks. Restrooms are available on-site.
👟 Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
